Coalition of Ontario Rescues For Emergency Support

Donation protected

Friends .....

HURRICANE DORIAN is shattering lives of pets and people and the death toll is rising in The Bahamas.

The Coalition of Ontario Rescues for Emergency Support (CORES) has come together as a need for Hurricane Dorian and will be working to help as many pets [dogs and cats] as possible, partnering with animal rescues and animal shelters directly in the line of the storm.

We will not be taking dogs/cats off the street, but will specifically be bringing back pets that were already without a home, so the shelters and rescues can make room for displaced pets.  It will also alleviate the stresses many Bahama shelters and rescues are facing with the complete loss of their space.  The impact to Florida shelters is not yet known.

We are planning on taking 3, open cab, temperature-controlled cargo vans full of humanitarian supplies and will be returning with pets needing a safe space to land back in Canada.

The current plan is :

DEPART: Thursday, September 12
RETURN: Sunday, September 15
