Coley Foster Family Home Roof Fund

    Robin Coley is a foster parent in Butte County who specializes in children with special needs; both physical and developmental.  For the last 20 years Robin has been serving Butte and the surrounding counties when a child is in need of a home.  Robin has 18 children total. 

    Through the years, she has adopted 11 children, 5 of which were deemed "unadoptable"; a term that didn't sit well with her.   She has cared for children that were not expected to live and are now thriving in their environment.  The service Robin provides benefits not only the children and counties, but has provided jobs for people in her community.   I wanted to give a little back to a woman that has and continues to give to everyone around her.

     I came across a way to help a selfless woman and the beautiful children she cares for. 

     During the last rain we had Robin noticed a leak.  When she called someone out to repair it, the extent of the work was overwhelming to say the least.  The cost of the leak itself is $4,100.  However, that isn't the only expense needed for the complete repair.  A crane is needed to lift the air conditioner off and back on the roof.  A separate contractor is needed to disconnect and reconnect the air conditioner once the leak is fixed.  This all came at a time in her life where things have been not going quite in her direction.  Since buying this dream home for her and her children there has been one disaster after another.  The biggest being black mold in the home due to negligence of a local plumbing company and the costs for remodeling to update her home for her 4 wheelchair children. 

    This is my way of thanking her for what she does and letting her know she deserves a helping hand. 

    Any amount in excess of our goal will be used for her wheelchair van desperately in need of repairs.
