CNYSPCA New Dishwasher

UPDATE: Three pieces of good news about this fundraiser, through sharing this campaign we managed to find someone willing to donate their time to install the new dishwasher once we have raised the funds to order it. Then we also found a local supplier who can cut the cost of shipping out bringing it down to $6200. Then our Happy Tails Arts and Crafts Show raised $1200 so we had previously agreed to put this fundraiser specifically to our dishwasher, so we have been really able to cut the needed fundraiser in half. Now we still need your help because we are a good deal away from our goal, so help us help the homeless animals.
The CNYSPCA was founded in 1891 for the purpose of preventing abuse to draft animals pulling barges on the Erie Canal. Over the past 126 years the CNYSPCA has grown to provide protection for and to prevent cruelty to all animals. We rely on donations from individuals and businesses, along with grants, bequests and fundraisers to cover the cost. Funds raised through funding sources will allow us to continue our programs and services, and to provide care for the animals in our shelter as they wait to be placed in their forever homes.
In 2016, the CNYSPCA adopted out over 1500 animals to new loving forever homes. While we love the statistics, it is often really overlooked the care that is needed while they remain with us at the shelter. Our dishwasher has a good deal of work to do each day while we care for the animals. Every animal is fed twice per day and given a clean water bowl, this is three dishes per animal per day that needs to be cleaned and sanitized. One of the ways we attempt to control the spread of disease is through properly sanitized dishes, and as of lately our dishwasher has started to suffer major issues. As you can tell by the photographs, our current dishwasher is quite old and starting to leak which is causing rust to develop at structural points.
We are looking to replace our existing dishwasher with a new high-temp energy efficient one. This will allow a chemical-free cleaning/sanitizing of each and every animals dish. We ask that you get the word out and help the animals while they remain in our care at the CNYSPCA.
