CARISSA'S MISSION TRIP TO UGANDA

My name is Carissa Luking.  I am a wife, mother of five, and a Family Nurse Practitioner.  Through the support of my family and friends, I have decided that I want/need to travel to Uganda, Africa in 2018, to provide love and aid to the many indigent children that live there.  The mission group that I plan to be traveling with is called Imani Milele Missions, located out of Florida.  I became affiliated with this group through my niece, who returned from a mission with them in 2016.  Seeing the impact that these children have had on her heart, and her faith, has been extremely inspiring to me.  I was recently able to spend some time with the children's choir of Imani Milele, when they visited and performed for us here in Vincennes, IN.  The children in this choir come directly from the schools/area that I will be traveling to.  As we (me and the children) looked at photographs of the children available for sponsoring on their website, they repeated cried out, "I know them", "and I know them too"!!  This mission, and all funds from all donations, go directly to these kids.  I can tell you from the very heart of my being, that these children have touched me in a way, that I never though possible.  The pure joy that they were able to provided me in the short time I was able to spend with them is just indescribable.  This mission group focuses on obtaining school funds, food, socks and shoes, clothing, counseling, emotional support, and so much more, for as many children in Uganda as it can.  If I can obtain enough funds to be able to participate in such an offering, I would be brought to tears with grattitude.  The funding from this account will go directly to my airfare, housing, and food while I am there. God has been speaking to my heart for some time now, telling me that this is where he wants me to be.  I want to be able to follow his calling, and share a piece of myself with these beautiful children.  I am asking you to please help me reach my goal, so that I will be able to travel to Uganda in the summer of 2018.
