Canines 2 Confidence (C2C)

$1,240 of $10,000 goal

Our mission at Canines 2 Confidence (C2C) is to rehabilitate military veterans affected by PTSD by assisting them in their transition back into society through bonding with and training herding breed dogs to herd sheep.   Through teamwork, trust, and mutual understanding, these wouned warriors learn to herd sheep into pastures, pens, chutes, and trailers, with a dog to perform real jobs on a working ranch.  These tasks teach them focus, patience, and confidence.  We teach them how to set real goals and achieve them, finishing what they start, while learning how to operate as a team.

Canines2Confidence (C2C) had its first official nonprofit 501c3 fundraising party event at Rancho Sol del Pacifico, hosted by Barbara and Al Rotter. We had a great turn-out, the weather was cool and nice all day. After our two hour span of sheep herding demos which included many of our veterans, a delicious lunch -- beautiful spread -- was waiting for all!! -- prepared and cooked by Barbara Rotter -- so exquisite! The ambience of live music with the incredible musicians Zach and Bridget, who performed all afternoon. The set up was perfect -- lovely tables and chairs with beautiful umbrella covers over each table, and while you ate lunch and listened to music, you were overlooking the majestic coast of Malibu. And could take a dip or swim in the custom designed Apollo pool right next to the tables on the veranda. Thank you all for coming!! And thank you for your donations and those who couldn't come who are contributing to C2C nonprofit to help our veterans through our Go Fund Me page. The veterans thank you, and so do we! So many new doors are opening and our program is expanding.
