Jonathan's Delegation to Australia

Hello! My name is Jonathan Biggs. I have received an invitation via the Phi Theta Kappa honor society to attend this year's delegation on business and entrepreneurship. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity that will take me from my home in Washington State, all the way to the Commonwealth of Australia. While in Australia I will; spend time with a global advertising agency, visit a business school and multi-national businesses, attend keynote speeches, and explore the cities of Sydney and Melbourne. This program will take off May 20th, and last for 1 week. 

This trip is going to cost $3,495 for tuition. This covers accommodations while in Australia, two meals per day, and transportation (excluding airfare to and from the program). Airfare will cost and additional ~$1,300, while the College Credits, and Insurance will be another $359. I forsee another ~$300 in lodging and travel expenses as the nearest airport from my house is a 3 hour drive, and my departure and arrival times are in the middle of the night and early in the morning.

I have been a member of Phi Theta Kappa since my second quarter returning to college. I am a dedicated, full-time student who also holds a full-time job as a bartender at a local restaurant. In my free time, I practice yoga and tutor at Clatsop Community College in their math department. I enjoy pushing myself and occupying every free minute I can find. This delegation will provide me many unique opportunities I won't be able to get anywhere else, as well propel me forward in my pursuit of my degrees, and ultimately set me up to be more successful in the future.
