Defibrillators for Burntwood

I am running the London Marathon to raise Money to save lives in Burntwood.

Defibrillators are important and all the community should have access to them, and the more the better.  Heart problem effect everyone of any age or fitness and defibrillators do save lives.

How and why I got involved.  As one of my community hobbies I am an officer of the Grangemoor Working Mens Club, and the end of last year a member passed away in the club where a Defibrillators may have saved his life.  Within a week with the support of our committee and the First Responders we had a Defibrillators supplied and installed.

During the first 6 months we have had this installed it has been assessed by members of the community 4 times, and in 1 situation it was already out and in use.

In short we need more, we need them in local community areas, we need them in local pubs and clubs and we need them to be accessible 24 hours a day 365 days a years.

At the moment Burntwood has 2, I wanted Burntwood to have 20.  If I can raise £1500 then this will be enough to get one more supplied and installed.

A little about me… I am Burntwood through and through.  My Home is in Burntwood, my business is Burntwood, my family and friends live in Burntwood and my Children go to School in Burntwood.  I am also a Burntwood Town Councillor and School Governor (For EDA).
