Bryannas Medical Care

On February 24th, when shopping around with her mom, Nona, Aunts and baby cousin .. Bryanna suffered from what we thought was a seizure. She was transported via ambulance to Peconic Bay Emergency room where my sister and I sat and waited for doctors to come in and help us get a better understanding of what happened. It wasn't till my sister and I noticed Bryanna was not utilizing her left side. She was becoming very unresponsive. She was unable to walk talk or express herself. If you know Bryanna, you know she is one happy smiling little girl who runs around the house all day long. From there the doctors decided that she needed more in depth care. She was transferred to Stony Brook Pediatric ICU... where we learned the worst. Bryanna had suffered from not only a seizure, but also a stroke. As many may know it was a bumpy ride with Bryanna entering the world. Many may remember her mom having a massive aneurism and us almost loosing her just days after giving birth. Bryanna is a strong fighter. Born at just 35 weeks she kicked ass in the NICU. But she has a very very long road ahead of her. The first of many steps is regulating her blood pressure. It is extremely high at the moment. Doctors have to take precautions lowering it and are doing it at a slow and steady rate. she also has "okay" brain activity as the doctors are saying, but she is going to need months of therapy to learn how to walk and talk again and live a normal life. As you may know Lauren is a stay at home mom and Bryan works hard each day to provide for his family. We are not sure when the family is going to be able to return to work... so I'm asking for some help for my sisters family. Nothing big, a dollar goes a long way in situations like this. Also prayers. We need as many of those as we can get. We will update all our friends and family as soon as possible.
