CANCER SUCKS!! This family needs YOUR HELP!!
Trevor and Brittany are a beautiful young idealic American family.
They got married in 2009, then settled into their new married life in Vallejo California where Trevor started his military service as a young Coast Guard serviceman. They then moved to Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin in where Trevor continued his service saving lives and protecting our shores.
While there Trevor and Brittany welcomed their son Mason, who is just turning 5 this month. Two years later they welcomed their daughter Rylie into their growing family.
It seemed the beginning of a true family love story. However, the day before Rylie’s first birthday, Brittany was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer, at 28 years old.
Following a double mastectomy and an aggressive chemotherapy treatment, they thought they had abated the monster and were hopeful for a long remission or a miraculous cure.
Tragically, this week, after suffering from what Brittany thought was a severe bout of sciactica, her worst fears were realized. The cancer has come back and is in her spine, back muscles and pelvic region.
Brittany herself is a warrior. She was born fully deaf and has never once been deterred from reaching her goals. She graduated from University High School in Irvine, Ca. She has already overcome this major handicap with aplomb and grace. She is a fighter, a fierce and loyal military wife, but most importantly, a devoted and marvelous mother. Her children, Mason and Rylie, are the reason for her ethos of victory and her will to fight.
She and her family face a very rough road ahead. As military dependents, there are no extra benefits. They are going to need every extra penny that can be raised to help with childcare expenses, as Brittany is a full time stay at home mother. They do not live near their families, so will need whatever can be raised to help defer costs that will stagger them with bills, especially as Trevor must serve and be on duty call for the Coast Guard, as all our military are called to do.
Please give all that you can. Her children will require extra attention from extended family and friends. What may come and when is not known at this time, except that they desperately need the loving kindness, support and generosity of others to help out during this time and in the days, weeks and months ahead.
