Although our business deals with what is mostly seen on the outside, we treasure the opportunities in having the ability to help one another when it is needed most. We at Chicago Buzz have always regarded all our employees as a vital component of our business and hope we can now give back to someone in need. One of our treasured and revered stylists has been given an obstacle that we now hope we can help her with.
Brittany has just been starting her exciting life with her husband as they recently celebrated their first year of marriage together. Looking to start the joyous increase of adding to their family, they have unfortunately hit a rough patch with her sudden diagnosis of stage 2 Urethelial cancer at the age of 30. Things have progressed swiftly with immediate need for surgery for the removal of her right kidney and subsequent need for chemotherapy for her to have a chance.
As some of you might not know, this high dosage of chemo treatment harms the body and the prospects of future fertility. In order to begin the process of creating a new life, it needs to be preserved before this life saving treatment can take effect. Insurance will not cover her to preserve her eggs or the time she needs to take off from work as she battles this. With her home, life and their future children at stake we feel the need to help out one of our strongest and most beautiful employees.
Brittany is a fighter and we want to fight right alongside her. She has amazed us thus far with her strength and positive determination in the face of something that is out of her control and overwhelming at times. She is a beacon of hope and continues to shine as we all work alongside each other at our place of business.
Our goal is to try to cover her IVF procedure and make her feel financially comfortable enough so she can focus on her recovery and not feel alone in her battle. We want it so that she is not scared of losing their home possibly along with losing her life and family. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and to even have her in your thoughts.
