My son Alex is the victim of International Kidnapping. He has been taken to China by his mother, and she refuses to return him to the United States. Any donations to this page will be used to toward legal and travel fees in getting Alex safely returned to the United States.
China is not party to the Hague Convention which makes getting him returned that much more difficult. I have contacted the U.S. State Department - Office of Children's Issues, Local Police, and the FBI. However, there is nothing that they can really do.

Alex's mother and I divorced last year. We have joint legal and physical custody. As part of our settlement I reluctantly agreed to allow her and Alex to travel to China for 45 days on vacation. She has since confirmed with me that she has no intention to return him to the United States. He was due to return on June 20th 2014. He has been out of the USA since May 7th 2014.
I traveled to China in October 2014 and I did get to see him for a day and a half while we tried negotiating with his mother for them to return to the USA, unfortunately I was not successful. This photo and the campaign pic were taken then.
After nearly a year long divorce and custody battle I've been left in severe debt and I have nowhere else to turn. I love my son very much and can't imagine not being a part of his life as he grows into a young man.
I've tried reasoning with her to no avail. She has completely disregarded the legal documents that she signed when we agreed to raise him together here in the United States. I'm truly saddened that it has reached this point.
