Dear Family and Friends,
My cousin Elizabeth Owen aka Lucy (Daughter of Phillip Wetere, step daughter to Brenda Wetere) and I (Claire Elliott "“ Niece of Phillip & Brenda Wetere) have compiled this letter of recognition, cause and awareness of how Breast Cancer effects your closet and dearest family members, friends, work colleagues and even a friend of a friend.
It's not another letter just about asking for money, but making a commitment to yourself to help a person in need.
A very dear mother / aunty of ours was diagnosed with Breast Cancer last Christmas 2013, and in early January of this year had surgery to remove the lump in her breast which had spread to her lymph nodes under her arm. The person we speak of is Brenda Wetere.
Brenda is currently going through Chemotherapy and Radiation treatment to combat this well-known disease. We wish her all the best and hope for a speedy recovery. For families in this similar situation, they know very well how this condition is very enduring and will take a toll financially, mentally and physically.
Family and friends, the Wetere Family have a long and trying time ahead of them and we are asking for your support.
Aunt Brenda has had many accomplishments in her time, but the one she is most proud of is being a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is a very strong willed and proud person, offering to help anybody regardless of their circumstances. She is a person who encourages and inspires you to do better and because of her pride, stubbornness and humbleness, she is a person not to ask for anything.
Due to her unfortunate medical condition, all her time and hard work has been placed on hold. Her main goal is for better health and wellness.
The challenge Lucy and myself have taken is to try and make this transition in her life and her families, stress free about financial burdens, normal household chores, daily visits to the doctors and chemist, even paying the parking tickets at the hospital worry free.
We believe this can be accomplished and ask each and one of you for your help in this trying time of need. No contribution or donation is too little.
