Black Panther Movie Outing

Hey everyone!
I've recently partnered with LA based arts initiative P.S. Arts to raise money for children of color to go see Black Panther in theaters. P.S. Arts is dedicated to improving the lives of children by providing arts education to underserved public schools and communities. They are the only organization in Southern and Central California that provides high quality arts education in dance, music, theater, and visual arts to every child in a school during the regular school day and after-school. Without their programs, children in these underfunded school districts would not have access to the arts.
In Los Angeles, most of these schools serve African American and Latino communities. What my mission is, is to give these children an opportunity to see people of color in a positive and dynamic role. As superheroes! Those who cannot afford a ticket to see the film will be financially accomodated to see the film (with movie snacks included of course) and enjoy the movie with their peers.
The funds will be used for a theater showing on February 23rd, a week after the movie's premier. The support would mean the world to the child who may not have had the opportunity to have the experience of seeing someone who looks like them on the big screen. For the child who has been participating in the P.S. Arts programs for years or even weeks has an understanding of how impactful the arts can be in their lives and in the world.
