Happy 2019! Will you help make it an unforgettable year for my family?
A new year is always a good opportunity to look ahead. I wish for you to be healthy and happy and surrounded by love in 2019.
I am deeply aware of the challenges we all face, large and small. Yet I also dare dream.
For myself, on a tiny personal scale... I have a special dream. And my wish is for that dream to come true! Will you help me?
In 2018, many of you supported me as I found myself battling breast cancer.
The experience brought me many valuable gifts. Such as patience, acceptance, gratitude and endurance.
More importantly, it has shown me how strong my family is and how much love there is all around.
It is now 2019. On January 7th, my birthday, I will undergo a breast amputation and a DIEP flap reconstruction.
As I look ahead at my birthday and the year to follow I find myself wishing I could return all the love and support I have been lucky enough to receive.
Most of all, I find myself wishing to be able to do something for my husband and children.
The operation on January 7th will leave me quite incapacitated for many months and this will take its toll on the family. My husband and children have battled with me and are exhausted but will have to stay strong a little longer.
What I wish for them is to be able to relax and unwind. I wish for them to stop worrying and start living. I wish for them to feel a new chapter in their lives has started. What I wish for them... is a holiday.
But I cannot do this alone. I need your help!
If all my friends were to donate 10€ , we would be able to give them an unforgettable vacation.
Robert has always dreamed of going to a spiritual retreat in Hawaii. The children have always dreamed of surfing the Pacific waves. I have always dreamed of showing my family the sacred islands.
But any donation is welcome and even if we end up going to Biarritz or Berlin I am sure my family would be so happy to release all the pent up negative energy of 2018 and to recharge their batteries. I wouldn’t even need to come along!
Will you help me make my birthday wish come true? Every donation helps! It will give my family a much needed break. I would so love to give them something to look forward to on January 7th.
