Let me just say, God has truly been good to us. He has allowed us to touch many lives through the stories we share that are life changing. If you are not familiar with us , we are a family of local independent filmmakers from New Orleans, LA . We love creating family-based films that will make the audience say "Hmmmm". Why? Simply because everyone needs a dose of it! Thus far, we have been successful at distributing three feature films under Bridgestone Multimedia Group with the approval of DOVE Foundation. Let me introduce myself. Hi, I'm Trina Brown known as "Joan Montreuil". I am Independent Filmmaker, Screenwriter, Director, Producer, and Author. I am also an ordained Minister of the Gospel and my passion is to portray the element of faith in the stories that I'm led to tell. I love writing stories that will inspire and cause one to become faith-filled. I have published two books by Xlibris Publishers, "Delivered From Destruction" and "The Unexpected".
'Beyond The Vows' is my third book release and I have decided to convert it into a Feature film. In the picture below is me starring in one of our films "Walk By Faith".
Yep, I wear many hats but in all of the films I have produced, written, directed and/or acted in which was inspired by the trials and tribulations my family and I have to face. However, I am most excited about my new project. "Beyond The Vows". This movie hits home for me. I have poured out from the bitterness of my soul to bring to you such an inspiring film. The message will encourage you that the concept of marriage is alive and well.
Synopsis:
BEYOND THE VOWS - is an inspirational film about marriage and love's imperfection. The newlywed couple, Karla Burbank and her husband, Don Burbank, as with every couple need some sort of healing . While divorce and separation are at its highest peak, it has become the new ritual that would soon follow behind most wedding ceremonies. The Christian couple insists that some marriage counseling and Sunday's worship services are the best options for divorce lawyers and courtroom proceedings. But then, things get even more complicated after Don gets involved into a second affair with yet, another mistress. Karen, his once loved, and devoted-wife that he promised to love and cherish, to have and to hold, from that day forward, for better, for worse, can no longer bear the heavy burden alone from her husband's infidelity. After Don finally fixes himself from within and sees the irreversible damage he has caused Karen. He puts in the work to prove that he is a changed man until his past comes back to destroy his union once and for all. But the question is; does the couple have what it takes to overcome the powers that be or will Karen decide to go beyond her vows when she is free to turn the other cheek?
In the midst of it all, I had a chance to observe GOD's grace and mercy. And found out that " TRUE LOVE" never really dies. My mission is to tell my story and help marriages that are in a crisis to succeed and restore a love that was never lost, only buried. Since this compelling movie is dear to me, I want to do it on a larger scale. I want to expand our audience and reach out to churches, marriage support groups and such like. Therefore, it is going to require a larger budget than before. In order for this film to reach its full potential I would like to be able to pay for the most talented crew and cast members; purchase the best camera and equipment, Locations and editor.
