Best Family Tornado Relief Fund

A tornado struck the Southeast Missouri Community of Perryville Missouri on Tuesday evening and demolished the home, automobiles and all other possessions of the family of Jim and Lisa Best.   Thanks to an issued warning, Jim, Lisa and their two daughters Jamie and Lacey and their two dogs went to their basement around 8:00 pm for protection.   At 8:04 pm their lives were forever changed as the tornado destroyed their home above them.

At the time of impact the family were huddled in a small storage room praying.   Through the grace of God the Best family and their two dogs all emerged without a scratch.   

The prayers and support from family and friends has been amazing.   While we are all ever so thankful for the gift of life, the Best family are facing enormous work and expense in putting their lives back together.   Insurance will help but it will not cover everything.

Both daughters attend St. Vincent High School.  Jamie is 18 and a senior and her younger sister Lacey is 14 and in the 8th grade.    Jamie plans to attend Maryville college next fall.
