Bumble Bee & Honey Bee Restoration
Donation protected
Bumble Bee's and Honey Bee's are essential pollinatiors for tree's, flowers and agricultural crops. Because of loss of habitat, these insects need our help, to continue to thrive. The initial project calls for the creation of 200 Bumble bee hives, and 50 Honey bee hives. Creating sanctuaries for them on Organic farms, our backyards, and in surrounding landscape we can help support them by helping them to thrive and be a vital part of our ecosystem .
Along with the hives, this project encompasses sowing seeds of native flower species per region, and providing them with the plants they need to continue to propogate their varied species. People will benefit, the bee's will benefit and the plants will all benefit from this project. Also, round hive structures are believed to be the most natural home for Bee's.
The funds will be used to pay for clay, ceramic firing, flower seeds and transportation costs for installation of this environmental art project . 200 Bumble bee hives, and 50 Honey bee hives will be created using the slip mold process, glazed, and installed initially in southern California and the United States. Clay, glaze and plaster costs are estimated at $ 3,500.00 Firing is estimated at $1,500.00, with transportation, installation costs, publicity, and shipping of bumble bee hives for this Environmental Art Project estimated at
$ 5,000.00
Funds for this project are needed in the next two months, of October through November 2017.
Your support of this Environmental Art project to benefit the environment means a great deal to me, because it will help me, and my supporters to be active environmentalists , on a project that will continue for many years, and will be monitored for success on an ongoing daily basis.
To show my gratitude, supporters of $100.00 or more will receive their own Bumble Bee hive and a wildflower seed packet, shipped via UPS, which they can install and sow seeds in their surrounding landscape. Supporters can also photograph their hive installations and upload their photo's of this, which will be added to my website , which will feature the Bee hive project and its success. Let's create a Buzz that will help the worlds Bee's.
