Bali Landslide Relief Effort

The wet season in Bali has been one of the worst in many years, which has recently led to numerous landslides across the centre of the island.
The Red Cross are on the ground and today, Bali Travel Group admin Michele Yoga visited some of the region to see how help could be given. Emergency homes, food and fresh water are needed.
I will keep updating here, or please follow Michele's journey today on Bali Travel Group, where she is posting live photos. Scroll down to see the extent of emergency on the Red Cross disaster zone map, it is a lot more serious than initially reported. Rain is set to continue into next week, which will lead to further erosion.
This wet season has no end in sight and the local authorities believe that there is more to come in terms of the disaster, so on-going emergency relief is needed.

ABOUT THE ORGANISER
Clare McAlaney lived in Bali for five years before moving to Perth, where she has a successful publishing business. She is a Rotarian and co-founder of Rotary eClub Bali, and has raised over $12,000 for campaigns in Bali due to help and generosity of Bali Travel Group members. GFM charge a small fee for donations, however the money is then 100% Paypal fee free, as it goes into a bank account. Clare is happy to provide the GFM accounts and transfer of funds on request.
