Fundraising for Bad Brad Wheeler

This Go Fund Me is dedicated to our good friend Brad Wheeler.
Brad recently had knee to ankle surgery after being accidentally pinned between two cars on April 3rd, 2016. We are setting up fundraisers to help cover his ongoing medical expenses.
He still has a long journey ahead to recovery with this severe injury. He has medical insurance and auto coverage from the accident, but home health costs pile up quickly and we want to make sure he’s got everything he needs for his upcoming treatments and surgeries.
At some point in our lives we all need help. This is Brad's moment where we would like him to be able to lean on us.. 100% of what is raised will go toward out-of-pocket medical expenses for treatment as well as additional living expenses.
He is grateful to everyone for their support and kind words.
Here’s a little message from Brad after his first few days at the hospital:
“Thank You God for not taking my leg, Thank You very much to all the people who have already, and are currently praying for me, also God Bless ( x2 ) the nurses and doctors of floor 6 as well as the ER staff at the U of U Hospital who are helping to put me back together again. I'm not gonna lie, after the accident happened I started to bleed real bad, I felt myself slipping away and got afraid I was gonna bleed out before the ambulance got there, I asked Joe to hold my hand and promise me that he wouldn't let me die, he squeezed my hand tight with those big paws of his and promised me, no way no how was he gonna let me go. Right after that a stranger walked over to the scene, grabbed my left hand and asked me if I wanted to pray together. I told the stranger no offense, but I'm almost certain Joe had more credit with God then he did. I know Joe feels bad about what happened, but I gotta tell you when I was losing faith he let me borrow his, I don't think I would have made it without him. If you see Joe, please give him a hug, both because he feels bad and because he had enough faith to go around for both of us as I lay in the middle of the road bleeding and scared. I wanna say Thank You to everyone who's been trying to check on me. I'm in really good hands up here at the University Hospital. I wish I could respond to everyone who's tried to reach out but I don't have enough energy. I might be released in couple days, but that's when things are gonna get a lot tougher and I'm really gonna need help. I'm completely overwhelmed with the amount love and concern that everyone has bestowed on me.”
We are also encouraging the music community to do their own mini fundraisers at their gigs.
· Last Sunday Better Off With The Blues did a nice little one at the Garage.
· The Alan Michael band is doing another one on 04/14/2016 at the Garage.
· We will be organizing a Big Lebowski bowling party for Brad, date TBA.
· Other events will be underway soon.
