Going BACK to Nursing School Tuition

I am here to ask your assistance in helping me get back into nursing school! I had to the privilege of attending and passing my first semester of nursing school! Yay me! But because of financial struggles, I could not continue in my second semester and I had to withdraw. Whoa is me! I was working part time and driving one and a half hours too and from school and this drained me physically and financially. I was not able to work enough hours to pay my bills at home, tuition and gas to attend classes and clinicals and it came to a point where I was focusing more on that than getting good grades in class. So sadly I had to withdraw. :-(
I thought, well, that is it. I will just have to stick with my original degree and find something in that field. What is that degree? An AAS in Architectural/Civil Design. This was a thriving industry until September 2001 my industry crashed, leave my unemployed time and time again and my credit destroyed.
I recently found a job in my field doing AutoCAD Drafting! Hooray! I'm back to doing what I love. NOPE! Two weeks after I started, I was laid off because the company went under. Are you kidding me? So, I decided not to give up and thought to myself, I will try my local career center and get see if I can get help from the AIA program. Well, that was a bust as well. They do not help individuals switch from one industry to another. "But, I have not worked in my industry in 6 years because the lack of jobs and I need help to support and better myself", I said. "You are still considered marketable. You can find a job. We will help you", they said. "Well, I have asked you to help me over the past 6 years and the only help I ever get is a log in to a website to apply for jobs and told to go on unemployment", I said. "Well, unfortunately we can't give you assistance to get your nursing degree", they said. Sadly I walked out broken hearted and just at the bottom. I am a hardworker, I don't just "get unemployment". I like to work. I have worked in my family business at the age of 16.
I like many others on this site, have been through a LOT. My father died in 2000, I was 21, and the company took our business away from my family and bascially left my now single mother with 4 daughters from ages 24 to 14, to fend for ourselves after my father worked for them since the late 80's. I have faced unemployment time and again sometimes a year or longer. We faced foreclosure 3 years ago. I am tired of this vicious cycle and I need to work to support myself on a flexible schedule and help me family. Why on a flexible schedule? I volunteer 70 hours a month in the ministry to help teach others about the Bible in English, Spanish and now Chinese. I do this whether I am working or not working. I have done so since the age of 17. I love helping others and I have fallen in love with nursing. I didn't realize this until I was at my clinicals in my second month and I saw a tiny beautiful baby being born before my eyes. I thought to myself, I love this, I NEED to do this. I was born to do this.
Over the past couple of months, my burning desire to go back to nursing school has become so strong that I can no longer fight it. I am a fighter. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE spread my story and help me do what I love and was born to do. Your donations will help pay for books and tuition for the four semesters that I have left.
I wish I could give everyone a tasty cake as a reward for donating but I am simply unable to do so. If I shipped it, it would look more like a oatmeal raisin pie than a delicious cake. :-) I will send a handwritten note to everyone outside of the Birmingham, Alabama area, expressing my love and appreciation for donating.
