Booker T. Washington High School, named for the famous educator, opened in September 1924 under the auspices of the Atlanta Board of Education, with the late Charles Lincoln Harper as principal. It is the first public high school for African-Americans in the state of Georgia and the Atlanta Public Schools.

As the high school over the Washington STEM cluster, we are ecstatic about bringing Robotics to Booker Taliaferro Washington High School, the oldest school for African Americans in the Southeast.  This is our inaugural year for robotics and our students and community is looking forward to this upcoming year!
Your genorous donations will contribute to the travel, promotion, event registration, and the construction cost of our robot.

So far we've competed in two Georgia First district events, and as a rookie team, we've done remarkably well; so well that we HAVE QUALIFIED FOR STATE COMPETITION!

Up until this point, we've been blessed to receive financial support from Georgia First.  Their donors  covered the cost of our robot, and event fees; a challenge all rookie teams face.   But who would have imagined a rookie team MAKING IT TO STATE!  Our  immediate challenge is funding to cover event registration, hotel, and travel cost for state and world competition!

We would like to thank you for your support and dedication to the Washington A-R-D (Atomic Robotic Dogs) Bulldogs Robotics Club! As we approach our upcoming competitions, it is exceedingly important that all funds be donated by April 30th!
