Beautiful People is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization.
We have a vision of a community sports organization that would enable joy, inspire hope, and fulfill dreams among children with disabilities and their families. We see that vision playing out in significant positive changes observed by parents as to their child’s socialization, self-esteem, coordination, agility and mobility. To date our organization has grown from 15 participants to over 200 active in baseball, soccer, and basketball.
We have utilized regional little league fields and county facilities for our games and events. We have been long in pursuit of a field of our own, especially since we are currently limited in our ability to serve children with walkers and wheelchairs whose safety and ease of use would depend upon an accessible facility.
After several years of searching, Beautiful People has secured a location in cooperation with the Town of Warwick, NY!
The budget: $350,000 is proposed for Beautiful People based on the cost estimated by the "Miracle League," which has used time-tested methods and materials to assist in the development of over 175 similar fields across the country.
Beautiful People has already raised 15% of our total "Capital Campaign" goal through the generosity of supporters, but we still have a long way to go!
