Surgery For Binx

On Friday morning (August 24th) I realized that my 1 year old cat Binx was in a lot of pain while trying to urinate. He was whining from inside of his litter box, and when I paid closer attention I realized that he had been trying to urinate for over 10 minutes with no success of any urine being relieved.. after coming to the realization overnight Friday that no amount of water was going to make him urinate.. I made him a vet appointment today (Saturday.) After being examined, our vet told me that Binx was experiencing urinary blockage and needed to be hospitalized. His urine was turning to crystals and Binx wouldn’t be able to relieve himself without a catheter, anesthesia, blood work, urinalysis, medication and a two-three night stay at the vet office. This was the only option for Binx, and without being admitted, he would have been dead by tomorrow - according to our vet and his wonderful staff. As many of you know we do have three pets at home - this procedure is going to cost a minimum of $500, and could cost anywhere up to $700. This payment is due before I can pick my baby up either Monday or Tuesday. With classes starting on Monday, my spare money was spent towards my tuition and my books.. and unfortunately I did not quality for CARE credit. Anybody who knows me knows that I love my fur babies and none of them have ever missed a single shot.. they’re all fixed, up to date on shots and are very, very loved. This situation just came to me so unexpectedly, because Binx is so young and seemed so healthy just last week! I would have obviously been saving for the procedure if I had known it was going to happen. I have already placed a $75 down payment towards the total cost, so I have put my goal as $500..I appreciate all of you for taking a moment out to read this, and anything is appreciated. ☀️ Thank you!
