Alyn's DOUBLE DIGIT Scholarship Fund

Greetings Family and Friends, 


Firstly-- I would like to thank everyone who donated to our campaign since the launch in 2019.  It is with great appreciation we share that to date, we have raised $1458.00 toward Alyn's Big 9 Scholarship Fund. Each of the donations received have been deposited into a 529  Direct College Savings Plan for Alyn and is continously growing. (Class of 2029)

We would like to announce that GoFundMe has offered us the opportunity to extend our campaign duration in hopes of reaching our initial goal of $9999. An entire earth's revolution has passed  since our start and Alyn is now turning 10 years old!! In honor of such a momentous occasion we have updated the campaign name to reflect her new more mature status -- that only she, is excited about-- (crying emoji)

 Alyn's Double Digit Scholarship Fund is

Greetings Family and Friends, 

            Some would say balloons, party hats, cake, ice cream and pinatas full of every treat known to man [except for candy corn -_-]  are  essential ingredients to a perfect birthday for your child... I won't contest that at all, but this year I've decided to take a slightly different approach to celebrating my daughter Alyn's birthday.   
       
            Alyn turns the BIG 9 this year and instead of purchasing the all-too-usual, storebought mass produced item- I wanted to create a special, one of a kind, everlasting token of love that she would cherish for many many birthdays to come (in addition to the obligatory Build -A-Bear..le sigh) .
         
            My daughter and I share a huge love for music and often enjoy engaging in sing-offs and dance battles (I've never lost one fyi).  I figure what better way to celebrate her life anniversary than by writing  her a jingle that would express just how much she means to me. Hopefully I haven't embarrased her too much with my mushy montage and sub-par crooning,  but If  I didn't...then I'd be letting her get off easy right??

- Which will pay for approx. 3 1/2 books by 2029 as per The Bureau of Labor Statistics  (https://www.bls.gov/home.htm)

We are asking that donors make contributions of amounts consisting of all 9’s!
e.g. ($9.99, $99.99, $999.99 etc)

Of course, any and all contributions made to the "emptynestegg" are profoundly appreciated and will aid immensely with Alyn's growth and educational evolution inevitably translating into her ultimate success as an adult- which I'm sure is the GOAL for all our children. 

All donations received will be designated for a 529  Direct College Savings Plan for Alyn.  A 529 plan is a savings plan designed to encourage saving for future education costs. 529 plans  are sponsored by states, state agencies, or educational institutions  and are authorized by Section 529 of the Internal Revenue Code.
