BC Wildfire Victims Essential Items

Donation protected

As Wildfires have again forced people to abandon their homes and businesses throughout British Columbia, Canadian Relocation Specialists is ready to help and focus on the essential items required by those being evacuated.

Last year through our #truckofhope campaign, we delivered over 30,000 of donations of essential needs items to victims of the Fort MacMurray fires from British Columbia Communities. The people throughout British Columbia were kind, generous and supportive. Now is the time for Albertan's to step up and help give back.

As we see more and more people being evacuated, Canadian Relocation Specialists will shift to collecting donations of essential items such as toothbrishes, toothpaste, grooming and personal care items, diapers, non perishables, pet foods etc. We are asking that water not be an essential item at this time as there is generally a large surplus of bottled water and shortages of other items.

We have made available a book / guide for free via e-book to all of those who will be returning and those being hired on behalf of victims of the wildfires. This helps to explain some of the risks and some of the important precautions which can be taken to increase safety to everyone who will be retuning to impacted areas.

We are looking to collect funds here to assist with the costs of transporting truckloads of items to locations in BC where they will be distributed to those in need by the appropriate agencies. Surplus funds will be used to purchase essential items which may be in short supply at that time. Our drivers will NOT be getting paid for the transportation of items as they are volunteering the driving services of the 5 ton truck(s) as and when required regardless of the number of trips needed from Alberta to BC.

Your contribution is essential to help those in need at this time and later as they return home. Please give, no matter how much as even the smallest contributions add up to help.

Please contribute as much or as little as you can so we can work together to help those in need throughout British Columbia.

Receipts and expense reports will be posted online at the Canadian Relocations Website to ensure transparency of all funds donated and how each dollar is used to help fire victims. ALL FUNDS go to helping victims as outlined above.
