Coats and Shoes for Kids

We are the Star Wars fans of Oklahoma--JediOKC, the Oklahoma 501st Squad, and the Ge'tal Vheh Clan of the Mando Mercs. Divided, we represent the separate parts of the Star Wars universe...the light side, the dark side, the dangerous side. But united? Together we can do great things.

From Aug.15-Nov. 15, we are banding together as one for the benefit of the children at the Integris Mental Health Center for Children in Spencer, OK, an in-patient psychiatric facility that serves youth from 5-18. Normally, the hospital provides funds for each child to receive a new coat and a new pair of shoes at Christmas, but this year, the funding does not exist. Not without you.

These children often arrive at the hospital with only the clothing on their backs. If they com with shoes, they are often a pair of flip-flops, ill-suited for an Oklahoma winter. 

For $150, we can fully sponsor one child. If you are unable to sponsor a child, any amount will help us to arrive at our goal.

Here is how it works: A local retail merchant will bring their inventory to the hospital. (These coats will be offered "at-cost" and the labor and time to bring them out will be free-of-charge) Each of the 100 children, child, youth and teen will be able to select a style and size that they want. The items will then be wrapped and delivered to them in late December.

All donations will go through the Integris Foundation, only temporarily passing through this GoFundMe page. 100% of your donation will go directly to the children at Integris.
