The Ava Gardner Museum located in Smithfield, North Carolina is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization that boasts more than 150,000 artifacts in its permanent collection.
The Museum holds over 5,000 square feet of exhibit space, plus our extensive archives, all of which is filled with irreplaceable items from the life and career of Ava Gardner. It is our responsibility to ensure the care of our collection, and to that end, we have extensive repairs needed for the protection of our 100-year old building.
Our mission is honor the life, loves and legacy of one of Hollywood's most glamorous leading ladies. She was a small town girl, with big dreams. She made it to Hollywood, and stardom, but her heart stayed in North Carolina. At the end of her life, she returned home, as she wished, to be buried in her hometown with her family.
We need your help, our loyal followers and Ava fans, to reach our goal to complete the critical repairs needed to protect the collection and continue Ava's legacy.
