Austins Amazing Journey

Hello My name is Austin Pownall. I am a 13yo 8th grader from Tallmadge Middle school. This year, I have been selected based on my academic, athletic and civic achievments along with 26 others to represent the state of Ohio on a 45 day cultural exchange wrestling tour during the summer of 2017.
This team, The Ohio All-Star Wrestling Team, has over the last 35 years had more than 600 top young athletes compete as members of this team. Among some of the alumni are NCAA title winners Alan Fried, Rex Holman, Sheldon Thomas, Corey Clien, and Ryan Bertin.
This year our trip will begin with a week long training camp where three of the top clinicians will work to get us ready to embark on the Journey of a lifetime. Following the camp we will embark on our journey out west to compete in dual meets from teams in Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, Oregon and Californina.
In order for for me to be able to make this trip a dream come true, each of the 27 wrestlers must raise $5600. This will be no small task. All of the money that I need must be raised by June 1st. This is why I am asking for your help.
This trip means so much to me. I am blessed to be able to wrestle and do the things that I do. This is a learning expirience that will help me to excel in my goals and dreams as a wrestler. I am a straight "A" student and I have a wonderful family that supports me in what I do. I just hope that you will be willing to support me also. I am so thankful to be able to be apart of such an amazing opportunity and to be able to represent our great state of Ohio.
