Baby Aubree’s NICU Fund

Donation protected
On May 22nd 2019, at 37 weeks of pregnancy, Aubree Mae Danioth was born to her parents Destinee and Joseph. Throughout the pregnancy there were extra appointments and check ups for a few health problems we were informed of at ultrasounds. One of these being a Dandy Walker Malformation in her brain, which can cause learning and motor disabilities. Also, we were made aware of a VSD in her heart which is a small to moderate hole which can be repaired with surgery.

When she was born, she was taken immediately to the NICU at St. Joseph’s and then transported by ambulance to Seattle Children’s. We weren’t really sure what was going on, we just knew for sure that she wasn’t breathing well on her own. She was on a CPAP machine and then switched to a breathing tube shortly after arriving here at Children’s.

Here is just a list of some things we have found out about Aubree:
- Instead of 12 ribs on each side, she has 10 and 11
- She has an extra thumb on her left hand
- Her ears are both small, one is lower and they are wondering if she will be able to hear out of either
- Cleft pallet
- Born with one kidney
- VSD & ASD (holes in the heart)
- Dandy Walker Malformation which is causing bleeding on the brain, may need neurological surgery
- Her heart is not cycling oxygenated blood to her body as it should be, which needs to be surgically fixed
- Lungs are small and not fully developed, causing hypertension
- Her vertebrae in her neck isn’t how it should be, causing a slouch in her neck and she has extra skin

There may be other things wrong but this is what we are aware of as of now. We have very little answers. It is unknown what is operable and what is not, and what prioritizes to be fixed first. This is our first child and my first pregnancy. It was nothing caused by pregnancy and unfortunately we are waiting on further genetic testing to see as why exactly Aubree has all of these complications. It most likely is a one in a million chance that she wasn’t created and developed as she should.

We are dedicated to finding answers and bringing her home. So much is unknown and up in the air at this time. As she becomes even days older things may change. We are asking for support not only for Aubree but for us as parents as well. We are so dedicated to being here everyday but unfortunately bills are stacking up as neither of us are working at the moment. Whether it be for gas, food, etc. We want to be here every step of the way for our daughter.

Thank you for reading our story and please share to spread the word so we can find answers for our baby girl. Please pray for her and keep us in your thoughts. We will not give up hope, Aubree is a feisty little fighter! ❤️ #PrayersForAubree #TeamAubree
