The Oakland Athletics Community Fund will donate all proceeds from this campaign to the American Red Cross of Northern California to assist in short-term and long-term recovery efforts by providing critical services including emergency food distribution, shelter, and healthcare.
The fire that started on November 6 totally devastated the town of Paradise, 10 miles east of Chico, and burned over 70,000 acres of Butte County in a single day. To date, it has claimed 29 lives and thousands of structures, and is only 25 percent contained.
