Help Latinos/Hispanics in Athens!

Last year we made our plea to the Athens community to save our organization from closing. The Athens community responded in a resounding way and gave us the support we needed in order to continue our mission of helping underserved and at risk Latinos/Hispanics in Athens with adult education services. 

Thanks to your support we were able to start a pilot GED program taught in Spanish!

Right now we want to expand and be able to do more but we need your help now more than ever! These current times are very uncertain and difficult for a lot of our clients. Every day we see the concern in adults and children alike as they are not sure of what is going to happen to their families in our current political environment. 

Although  Casa de Amistad does not and cannot get involved in politics, we can provide help to our Hispanic/Latino brothers and sisters who are being affected by a number of issues including: discrimination, hate crimes and rethoric, deportations, language barriers, seclusion from the greater Athens community and more. 

This Holiday season please consider donating to our cause in order to show your support to your fellow citizens! Your donation is tax-deductible and is 100% going towards providing direct services to help this community in need. These services include case management for families facing deportation, adult literacy programs like ESL and GED, food distributions and more.
