It's fundraising season at Art House Astoria! We recently held our annual benefit which got us off to a great start, but we need your help to implement more projects to serve the Astoria community and keeping our kids involved with the arts.
It is the mission of Art House Astoria to provide a high-quality arts education to our community at an affordable price. The good news is that we’ve been able to accomplish this for seven years straight without once increasing our rates even though our overhead expenses have steadily increased. In fact, there’s not a school in Queens that compares to Art House Astoria when you compare the quality of instruction you receive here for the price.
And we want do so much more...
NEED-BASED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:
We at Art House Astoria believe every child is entitled to an education in the arts. Unfortunately school districts are underfunded and arts programs are the first to go. The sluggish economy and job market mean many parents are unable to afford tuition-based arts programs for their children. We want to do what we can to help by offering financial assistance for tuition to those in need.
TEACHING ARTIST PROGRAMS AT LOCAL SCHOOLS
Art House is pleased to be continuing in the 2016/2017 school year with a Teaching Artist project providing general music classes to at P.S. 166, a school with over 1200 students that is under-served in arts programming. We are also pleased to announce our participation in a new visual art program at Q300 School for the 2016/2017 school year!
GROW OUR MUSICAL THEATER PROGRAM
This year we have expanded our Musical Theater classes to include Musical Theater 101 for those youngsters just trying out performing for the first time and are proud to be offering an audition-based Musical Theater Performance class running two days a week. All classes will participate in a production of Seussical Kids in early December. You're support will offset the costs of licensing fees, costumes, and other matierals.
SALON SERIES & OPEN MIC NIGHTS
Art House Astoria regularly offers free events such as our regular Salon Series where anyone from the community can enjoy free refreshments and perform for a captive audience. Constructive feedback is offered by one or more of the many talented professional musicians and artists that we have on faculty. A piano accompanist is also provided free of charge. And, it’s open to all ages and levels! We’ve also launched a new Open Mic Night!

MAKE A DONATION
Donations may be made here on our GoFundMe Page. Upon receipt of your generous donation, we will provide you with a letter of acknowledgement that confirms the amount donated so that you can deduct that from your taxes.
BECOME A MEMBER
Last year we launched a brand new membership program. The majority of your membership fee is tax deductible and comes with benefits such as discounted lessons and classes, discounted event tickets, and discounts from neighborhood businesses.
