Antonio's Stand Against Leukemia

Hi,
My name is Amparo, and I’m writing on behalf of my brother Antonio.
In December 2014, my brother was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic T-cell Leukemia. At first, the prognosis was hopeful. Antonio’s body was responding quickly and efficiently to the chemotherapeutic treatments, so much so that by January 2016 he was in remission and was cancer-free for months. Unfortunately, the cancer returned on October 5th of the same year. A bone marrow transplant became our only option. Yet, despite high success rates, cancer cells were once again found in his body a mere 47 days after the transplant.
For the past few months, friends and family have all tried to remain hopeful, betting on new forms of chemotherapy in combination with antibiotics. However, on April 17th we were informed by the doctors that the Leukemia had now become terminal, giving Antonio a life expectancy of a few weeks.
There isn’t much we can do to help Antonio. We don’t know how to cure the incurable
and have no control over what the future might bring for us as we seek dwindling alternatives. That being said, Antonio does grow weary about the debt he has incurred throughout his battle against cancer, having had to leave his job after diagnosis. He wants to help my mother and I pay off these bills, hence why we are reaching out to you all.
Any amount you can donate will help my brother’s peace of mind, which is the only thing we can do for him at the moment. My family and I extend
you our deepest gratitude if only for reading these lines.
