Annie Kicking Breast Cancer's Ass

Donation protected
Annie is the kind of person that one is lucky to have come into their life.  She shines so bright you are drawn to her.  She is the biggest fan and support system for her family and friends.  Now, she needs the support.  The battle against breast cancer began for this family with her sister, Jill  in Nov. 2010
Below is her and her sisters story......

Jill’s story…..

Jill, was diagnosed at the age of 28 with breast cancer in November of 2010. In a blink of an eye her entire world, and ours, changed. She had just finished graduate school, started her career, married the man of her dreams and discovered she was bringing a baby girl into this world.

Jill was 7 months pregnant when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Imagine…
7 months pregnant and hearing those three dreaded words,
“You have cancer.”
For three years, Jill struggled with many different kinds of chemo therapies, radiation, a double mastectomy and brought a beautiful, baby girl into this world. We watched her fight for her life while pregnant and while caring for a newborn baby who is now 5 years old.

We all hoped this nightmare would be behind her.
Tests to follow brought results which were hardly what we hoped, prayed and wished for...the breast cancer had spread. She was now Stage IV and battled cancer for the rest of her life.

Jill passed away on October 14th, 2013 with dignity, surrounded by love and showing all who loved her the true meaning of life.  In her last year of life, Jill walked with her 11 best friends 60 miles with Susan G. Komen where she found the strength and hope to keep fighting.

Annie’s Story…..

Six months ago Annie began a program with Seattle Cancer Care Alliance for early detection.  She would begin getting scanned every 6 months, switching between an MRI and mammogram.  Her first scan came back clear.
Last month she found a lump in her breast.  She immediately received a mammogram followed by a biopsy.

She then heard the same three dreaded words her sister received…..”You have cancer”.  The biopsy came back revealing cancer in both breasts.

Annie was diagnosed with breast cancer in both breasts at the age of 30.  She received a double mastectomy on Oct. 6th,  2 weeks after being diagnosis.
The final tests after surgery came back with a spot found on one of the three lymph nodes removed.  We hoped and prayed that surgery was all she would need.  Unfortunately, she has a very aggressive form of breast cancer and will be undergoing chemo and hormone therapies once healed from surgery.

The funds raised will go toward traditional, experimental and homeopathic medical treatments.  The last thing someone should worry about is medical expenses.  We all want her to focus on healing her body and not paying bills!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read Annie's story.
