Anna & Joe - Study in Tours, France

Hi Everyone. We’re asking for help getting to France this summer to continue our studies.
We’re Anna Obbagy, pianist and Joseph Burke, violist. We’re undergraduate students at The Bard College Conservatory of Music. At Bard, all Conservatory undergraduates pursue a five-year program leading to two degrees: the Bachelor of Music degree and the Bachelor of Arts degree in a field other than music. This semester, in addition to our music studies, we’re enrolled in a French language intensive. We’re trying to raise enough money to take the second part of the course in Tours, France for the month of June 2017. Through this page and a series of concerts, we hope to raise the necessary $5,500 to pay for our tuition, books, airfare, living expenses and if possible, lessons at either the Tours Conservatoire or Conservatoire de Paris.
The class begins in Tours at the end of this semester so we only have until the end of May to raise the money. GoFundMe accepts donations as low as $5 so please give what you can. Each contribution gets us closer to our goal. We think what we’re doing, learning music, language, promoting the arts and cultural exchange, is worthwhile. We hope you see value in participating.
