Student in Need of Travel

Hello, everyone! I am Jordan Wissinger, a teacher at the Law & Government Academy at Hartford Public High School. The holiday season can be extremely stressful for all of us, but I have a wonderful young lady I specifically have in mind that this season is causing undue stress. Angelina Gomez, a senior at our school, has been through a lot in life, things that no one should ever have to endure. When other kids at this time of year are writing to Santa for material things, all Angelina desparately wants is to spend the holidays with her aunt in Kentucky. She has absolutely no family here in Connecticut. The major drawback, however, is that she simply does not have the funds to get there. She also struggles with basic necessities, including clothes for herself. I'm calling on the generosity and loving nature of all of the people in my life to make this young lady's holiday wishes come true. She works extremely hard at everything she does, and if we could repay her for her tenacity in life it would be such a blessing for her.
