Andy passed away May 12, 2015 from complications due to liver and kidney problems. Besides countless number of friends and family, he also leaves behind his son Caleb. If you have ever met Caleb you know how amazing of a kid he is, if you knew Andy, you know Caleb is a spitting image of Andy; from looks, to personality to the big genuine heart.

Andy was a hard working, self employed business owner. He didn't have life insurance, there is little SSI that will go to Caleb if any. We are using the fund to establish a trust for Caleb for his future.

We established the Andrew James Simmler Memorial Fund which will soon be a 501(c)3 NPO to allow people to make charitable donations in memory of Andy. 100% of donations and funds collected will be used towards Caleb's college and continuing education. We set the 'goal' at $1 because we do not have a set number to raise. Every little bit helps.

With the help of Blackstone Valley Regional Technical School and our family we will also starting the Andrew James Simmler Memorial Scholarship Fund which will be a yearly scholarship awarded to a deserving BVT senior graduating looking to pursue their own business.

We have started this memorial fund with the help of Saver's Co-Op Bank. We had so many people ask if there was a way to donate online instead of mailing a check to the memorial fund at Saver's so we built this GFM page.
