My name is Andrew Martin, and I am an International GB ParaBadminton player and Certified Badminton Coach.
For as long as I can remember, my dream has been to represent my country & compete to win a GOLD MEDAL at the Olympic Games.
ParaBadminton makes its debut at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics as a Paralympic Sport and I am determined to add an Olympic Gold medal to my list of medals.

I have been playing badminton for over 20 years now, 10 of which have been at Para Badminton. I play Men's Singles, Men's Doubles and Mixed Doubles and I coach both able-bodied and players with disabilities.
ParaBadminton players do not receive any central funding & as a consequence we have to fund ourselves completely.
I am asking if you would consider donating any amount, that you feel comfortable with.
This year I am competing in
1. Spaninsh International in March
2. Irish International in June
3. Japan International in September
4. Danish International in October
5. European Championships in France in Late October/Early November
It is important for me to go to these competitions in order to secure ranking points and help me maintain my position in the top echelon of my sport.
Your kind donations will help me to fund the following expenses.
1. Competition entry fees,
2. Airfares
3. Hotels
4. Training
5. Equipment
Para Badminton imposes strict strict deadlines on payments. Over the years this has placed a massive burden on my family. Up to now we have struggled along with no help but it is quickly becoming a real strain. Your kind donation will help to alleviate that burden.
I want to take this opportunity to thank my family for their generous & invaluable financial & moral support over the years. Without them I would not have got this far.
