Help Amy beat cancer
We are trying to raise funds for my cousin Amy to help ease the financial burden that she will encounter with her cancer treatments. Amy is a single mom of three beautiful kids, and she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer at the beginning of December. Shortly afterwards she found out that it had spread to her lymph nodes.
She has recently started her treatment by taking her first dose of radiation, however, that caused some complications by revealing that she has three more lumps in her throat that now need to be biopsied and assessed.
Amy is a very loved daycare provider, but unfortunately she has had to take unpaid time off work for her treatments. Being a single mom and losing this income has been very difficult on her and her family. Amy still has more scans and treatment to go through, and depending on how well the initial treatment works, she might have to undergo even more in the future.
Anything that you are able to donate would be greatly appreciated, but even if you are not able to, then please keep Amy and her family in your thoughts and prayers. You can also write an encouraging message for Amy if you would like to help her through these difficult times.
All funds raised will go directly to funding Amy's day-to-day family costs.
Thank you for taking the time to read our message!
With lots of love,
Paul and Elyse
We would love to gather around Amy and the kids once again, to help raise needed funds for them. We are doing a puzzle fundraiser. Here's how it works:
We have a 240 piece puzzle and we are selling the pieces. As you buy 1,2,3 or 10 pieces (there is no limit!) your name will be written on the back of the piece(s). We are selling pieces for $25 each. We will work toward filling all the pieces with names. Once it's full, we will glue it, put it in a float frame to give to them, and will have raised $6,000! Amy and the kids will have this forever as a beautiful way to remember all the people who loved and supported them through this difficult time.
We thank you for your support of Amy, Taylor, Timmy and Tanner - whether it be financially, spiritually or both!
Comment on Facebook or message Elyse (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you would like to contribute to the puzzle and how many pieces you would like. We'd love to have the puzzle completed by Wednesday, February 14th in time for Valentine's Day. You can pay with cash, check or through the PayPal link ( Contact us for that information and please choose friends and family and in the notes put your name if it's different from your PayPal address). Thank you so much! ❤️
Sorry it’s been a while since we have sent out an update. It’s hard to share updates sometimes when the news is hard to tell & hear. Amy just completed her last round of chemotherapy in Seattle this week. The kids were able to join her and had a fun filled week planned by their extended family. That was definitely a nice distraction for all.
Now for what is going on with Amy. The lungs seems to have reacted very well to the chemotherapy so that is very encouraging, however, the cancer has spread. She has been experiencing really bad migraine headaches and they found it was due to a tumor behind her right eye that makes it hard to see out of that eye. Treatment has been really rough on Amy, the side effects are not pleasant.
Amy will get an 8 week break before she needs to go back to Seattle for 9 weeks to receive radiation treatment. This is an extremely hard time for her and the kids, and they’re all doing the best they can under these circumstances.
If you’re able to help financially in any way, that would be so much appreciated. You can either donate here directly or to her personally. We thank you for your continued support and prayers as they are needed now more than ever.
Thank you everyone for continuing to follow Amy’s story.
Elyse and Paul
Amy and the kids are going back to Seattle tomorrow after a two month break. She will be traveling there once a month to receive chemotherapy for 5 days. The doctors have increased her treatment as they aren't getting the results they have been hoping for.
Please continue to keep Amy and the kids in your thoughts and prayers. These are very trying times and they can use all the love, support, and prayer right now.

It's been a little while since we have sent out an update. Amy and the kids have been back home for a few weeks now, and the kids have gone back to their schools and are loving it. Amy has to fly back to Washington for a week once a month for her chemotherapy treatments which are extremely hard on her and make her very sick. She just returned on Friday from treatment.
This coming Friday (April 28th), a bunch of Amy's friends are putting together a fundraiser for her and the kids to help with the costs as she continues to undergo treatment and is unable to work. If you're in the area, please come join us at the event. If you live out of state, but would like to support her, you can use this site to do so. Please read the flyer for more details on the event.
This entire process is definitely taking a toll on Amy and the kids. Your continued support and prayers are very much appreciated.

Amy - I will keep you and your beautiful little ones in my Prayers. ... Not only do I KNOW God answers our Prayers, but I have seen SO MANY of His Miracles, even the ones He has blessed me with. Don't give up, keep fighting, stay strong, give your burdens, fears, questions and worries to the Lord, He can handle this and WANTS TO for you!! I can't donate, sadly, because of my OWN status of disability, a recent separation after 10 years and am also a single parent of two daughters with Autism and SPD, and just found out that my youngest needs surgery on her eyes and that she blind (legally) so I am scraping all I can -- HOWEVER, I am in Columbia Falls and can help you whenEVER you need, and I will also make a donation in about 3 weeks (can't do too much?) -- Also, if you PM me or Email me, there ARE OTHER THINGS I CAN HELP YOU WITH. I hope you'll consider getting in touch with me? How about this, just drop me an email at: Contact Katie Clooney (all one word) then the @ sign, then gmail dot com. Stay strong Amy -- Peace and grace being sent your way!
Continuing to pray for you and your family, dear Amy. xo
We continue to pray for you all. Hugs Amy!
We are continuing to pray for you and your family
Love you so much!
Amy, you and your "kiddos" are constantly in our prayers! I am so thankful that you are back home for a while and can spend some good time with your mom, dad and brother as well as the amazing friends you have in Kalispell. Speaking as your Aunt Debbie, I want to thank everyone for their love, care and support of my niece Amy. It is hard to live far away - but it means so much to me that you are caring for Amy as I would if I could be there. Amy, I always knew your were loved - but the outpouring of love for you and your family has been a grand testimony to the woman you are and the faith walk that you live - every day - even when it seems impossible. "All things are possible with God" and we are believing for a complete healing. We love you!
Just wanted you to know Amy that I have been praying for you and your family and this morning you came to mind so spent a lot of time lifting you up, your kids and your mom and dad in prayer. I will not stop praying!
