Alix’s Cancer Fight

Alix Hartmann is the love of my life. She’s warm-hearted, she’s the funniest person I know, and her soul is visibly full of joy; being around her teaches me more every day about how to be grateful for my life and the world I live in. Last year, Alix was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Since then, the disease has progressed into the far more serious stage IV.

Alix is a fierce fighter: She’s stayed calm, cool, and collected despite devastating diagnoses, intense surgeries, and debilitating treatments. She still works as much as she is able, and her sense of humor is still as strong and active as ever. We are going to fight this disease with everything we’ve got.

We’ve delayed starting this campaign as long as we reasonably could. This is not something we do. We are very private people. We are fiercely independent. We usually handle things quietly, on our own. However, at this stage, we need help.

With medical bills racking up and with Alix less and less able to work and earn her wage, we find ourselves in a financial bind. We are asking you, kind reader, for a hand up in the fight of our lives, and any help or good vibes that you can send Alix’s way will be appreciated more deeply than you’ll ever know.
