Alan's Hearing aid remote table Mic

Previously my campaign was to raise $5125 to pay for a new Phonak Naida V70 UP hearing aid and a  Cros II transmitter for my bad left ear to transmit communications/sounds from my left side to the hearing aid on my right side. We raised a little over $5400 dollars a portion of which goes to the fundraising site.  I was working with a national internet seller of this brand of hearing aid and he sent me to one of his affiliates which was local to me. That affiliate just didn't seem to know any thing about what I needed and about the remote Roger table Mic - he thought it might be wise to send out my old aid and try to get it fixed so I would at least have some hearing while a new aid was made for me. So I paid him for the aid and the cros unit as well as for getting the old aid possibly fixed.  I was concerned about the situation and asked him quite pointedly did I belong in his office because he had no literature, no samples, nothing about the company on his desk - not even a product manual binder. He spent about 30-45 minutes calling the company repeatedly to get the information needed for him to order everything - he came back with a price that was about $900 more then I was quoted for the Table Mic. The table Mic is a new product as of April 2016 and apparently he has not gotten any training on it from the company and was pricing the Mic with a receiver from another older but similar product made by  the same company.  As  I said I paid for what I could afford, signed a contract and went home not feeling good about what had just transpired.  It dawned on me that night that he hadn't asked what color I wanted - (black  so it would be visible to people that I was wearing a hearing aid)  and a wrong warranty on the contract.  The company advertises a 3 year warranty on the aid and one year on the cros unit.  His contract said one year. I sent them an email and they responded first about the warranty and said it was two years and then they sent a second email saying they had just placed the order and the color was black - this was on a thursday - they said it would take an additional 4-5 days to get it made and shipped to them. They had also made mold impressions on both my ears  even tho I told them I only needed a mold in my right ear.  In any case all these missteps by them wore on me and on Sunday I sent them an email and asked them to cancel the contract because I just wasn't comfortable with their product knowledge and their shorter warranty. Come to find out they don't do enough business with Phonak to offer the three year warranty.   On that Tuesday I went to their office to return their loaner hearing aid and surprise they already had my old aid returned from the repair shop ( think they just gave me a working aid from their back room collection of used aids) . Ten days later I got the check back from their home office minus the cost of the repair and the restocking charge ( they said the aid shipped right away and not 4-5 days longer as they told me), so I had to pay a 10 % restocking fee for sending it back to the factory.  I did more research and found a national company that is affiliated with my Blue Cross/Blue Shield Part C medicare insurance. They referred me to a clinic with working doctors of audiology. I went there last Friday and met with the doctor and she went over the program with BC/BS and the price was compatible with what I was quoted from the first national company I was dealing with ( within a hundred dollars) . However the price for the Roger receiver and remote table mike was about $800 more then I was originally quoted - it appears that the company that quoted me thought the receiver came with the mic and never added the cost of the receiver into the price.  If  I hadn't lost the 10% restocking fee and paid to have the old hearing fixed, I would have only been a couple hundred dollars shy and could have used some of my next SS check to cover it. So at this point I need to raise about $800 to cover what is needed as well as the additional process fees for go fund me.  I hate to have to ask for more help especially with Christmas right around the corner but really do need this special Microphone setup  unit for my weight loss support group as well as any restaurant or family type gatherings. If you have helped and can help a little bit more, that would be wonderful - if you haven't donated yet but feel you can squeeze even a small amount please do - thank you all for your help and  Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you!
