I am a professional musician (violist and composer).
In 2016, after a fine needle biopsy at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the tongue which had metasticized to 5 lymph nodes in my neck just under my jaw. I was told that my only chance for possible survival and the only therapy offered in the US ( which had any possible coverage by insurance) was to surgically remove half of my tongue as well as to operate to remove lymph nodes in my neck. Only 50 per cent of people with this surgery, and other conventional treatments (radiation and chemotherapy) survive up to five years past these therapies. The prognosis was dim at best. In addition, I wouldhave lost the ability to speak, eat, swallow normally and had I gone through that treatment, I would also most likely not be able to play my instrument again as one strongly risks permanent paralysis of the neck.
After researching treatments all over the world I chose to combine treatments at Hufeland clinic in Bad Mergentheim Germany complimented by oxygen baths /and non invasive therapies at KAQUN in Budapest, Hungary. The result is that the tumor which was originally located on my tongue is gone and now out of five lymph nodes involved, two are now normal. I expect complete remission eventually but have more healing to do and these therapies are not available in the US . Again, they are are not covered by insurance.
This cancer is life threatening but with your help I will be well again, help to inspire the world with my music/art and live a normal happy life.
