Adam needs a dress!

Well, not a real dress! More of a gown....with a tam and hood!
Adam is graduating in May with a PhD in statistics. Statistics! He has worked so hard for 6 years (just for the PhD part, but really his whole life!) to get to this point.
When he first started this stage of his academic career, we had just gotten married 2 days prior and moved the day before! We put off our honeymoon for almost a year. In the past six years, we have moved three times, had two baby boys, and I started a new career, all while he was going to school full time and teaching.
Adam is the best man I know. He is a doting father, loving husband, exemplary student, and a beloved teacher!
We have had late nights, early mornings and not a real "day off" in at least 4 years. We joke about his "PhD diet" because of the weight he's lost due to stress, lack of sleep/time to eat, and playing with the kids.
Now we see the light at the end of the tunnel. He successfully defended his dissertation on Jan. 23rd. All that's left is turning in a polished, hard copy of his "little paper" (all 230+ pages!) and taking a stroll across the stage.
Which brings us to why you're here...
I want him to be able to walk across that stage at graduation wearing the Doctoral Regalia he has earned. One that belongs to him, is fitted to him and one that he can wear with pride at future commencements as a Professor! I want to be able to hood him with one that forever bares the colors orange and brown, representing BGSU and the place we met and started our life together.
After all that he has done for me, our family, his students, but most of all for himself, he deserves to have this.
Showing his truly selfless nature, he knows that $750 is more than we can afford right now and certainly does not want to spend that kind of money on himself, even for something that he has been working towards his whole life.
And so, I turn to you, our friends and family. Please, help me show him how proud we all are of his accomplishments.
