Medical Fund for Cat from Tijuana

Tax deductible
We know these photos are hard to look at, but imagine how this poor guy feels :(

This boy was rescued from the streets of Tijuana Mexico on May 15, 2017 after he had been purposely injured by a human and beaten in the face with some kind of an implement. It ruptured his one eye, and he's now blind in the other It also caused mouth and sinus injuries.

The people who rescued this boy also rescued our dear Drusilla (who, if you remember, was pregnant, blind, and living on the streets of Tijuana) and they took this boy immediately to their vets, but unfortunately they didn't have the funds or the vet the knowledge needed to treat him, so we stepped up to help.

This is why Milo's Sanctuary exists to help these poor souls who, through no fault of their own, don't have a human to love and keep them safe.

He’s at our vets and is holding his own, they ran blood and besides being slightly anemic and dehydrated it all looked good. They did full body x-rays and they aren't showing anything broken (thank heavens) he's very badly bruised however and has suffered severe head trauma. He can't stand or walk very well right now and the vets believe that there is swelling in his brain area because of the trauma. He's blind and the one eye will have to be removed as it's ruptured when he is more stable. They are applying a steroid eye drop to help with the inflammation and swelling. We are praying as the swelling goes down in his brain and eye that he will recover at least some of his sight.

He's AMAZINGLY sweet and makes "air biscuits" while begging for tummy rubs. He is not eating at all and they are syringe feeding him but if he doesn't start eating on his own we may have to do a feeding tube just to get him over the recovery period. He's still on IV fluids and the vets and staff just adore him. We think he looks amazingly better and he loves his big soft bed!

When we rescued him we promised him a second chance at a new life where no one will ever hurt him again. We are currently working on a name for him :) Please help us to keep that promise and donate to his ongoing medical care and thank you!
