Fund To Aid Those Affected By Hurricane Dorian

Hurricane Dorian, the most powerful tropical cyclone on record to strike the Bahamas, made landfall and struck the Abaco Islands on the 1st September 2019. With wind speeds upto 185mph most structures were flattened leaving atleast 70,000 people homeless. Numerous nations, organisations and armed forces have worked round the clock to aid the people of the Bahamas as best as they can. However more support is needed to help those left homeless,  without food and water as a result of Dorian. One of the charities sending money is that of Sandals Foundations. Founded in March 2009 the Sandals Foundation works to put money into the local communities to help support, uplift and improve the lives of the Carribbean people. To that end, on the 12th November 2019 a small group from the Royal Engineers Boat Operations troop, based in Chatham, Kent will undertake a crossfit inspired challenge in order to raise money to donate to Sandals Foundation, and ultimately help those affected by hurricane Dorian. Converting the total distance from Chatham to Abaco and back into kilometers (14000km) This will be turned into individual repetions of 12 exercises (that's 14000 repetions in total) With the aim of completing this in under 8 hours. The workout is listed below and aptly named Abaco Resilience. Any money you can donate in the form of sponsorship of this challenge would be hugely appreciated. All money will be presented to Sandals Foundation during a fundraising event ran by Energi People on the 23rd November 2019. Lets all club together and help those less fortunate than ourselves who are in dire need of the basic necessities to survive in horrendous conditions.
