Let's start from the beginning....
This past Saturday I was driving through Bethel heading home, I notice this guy in a power chair struggling to pick up his groceries that had fell on the ground. I stop, got out and carried them to his house, which was about 200 ft. away. We get to the door, he hands me his keys and asked me to open the door for him, leading into his apartment. So I did... He told me it's hard for him to do this task independently. He thanked me and I left...
I go home, talked to my wife about this man and his struggles, I told her I was going to make some calls on Monday to try to help him out... My six year old said he wanted to help... So tonight at soccer I was talking to the other parents about this situation, they also want to help and so do their kids.. So we are going to set up a time and place in Bethel to do a carwash fundraiser to raise money..
Now I go to the house and knock on the door, the man answers the door, I said do you remember me? He said No..lol... I told him I was the guy that helped him Saturday, then he remembered... His name is Mike, he lives right in Bethel, if you go down main street on a nice day you will see him sitting there in his power chair... I told Mike that my six year old son and his team mates were going to raise money to get him an automatic door opener. Mike was very thankful, then he demonstrated to me the struggles of getting in out out of his house...
I will have more details on this carwash very soon, also Executive Chef Zak has also promised to bake goodies to sell at this Carwash! We need to raise $1250, RIGHT NOW MOBILITY will install for no charge! If you can donate anything please let me know!

Thank you everyone for sharing and donating to Mike for the Automatic Door Opener. In less than 24 hrs, we're halfway there! There will be a CAR WASH FUNDRAISER THIS SATURDAY, APRIL 22, 2017 AT THE ADVANCED AUTO PARTS LOCATED AT:
421 W PLANE ST.
BETHEL, OHIO 45106
from 4-6 pm! The car wash is free, accepting donations only! The sweet kids of the Bethel Crushers Soccer team will be donating their time and services to help Mike! Special Thanks to the General Manager, Miekal Harrison for letting us use their location!

Thank you so much! The goal has been met(: We are ordering today and will be installing next week! We are still doing the carwash, all money will go toward other modifications to his home!!! Thank you, and God Bless!!!!
