A Proper Woman in Khmer Language

Your contribution will support Cambodian high school girls in lessons about how they can know more firmly what they want from life, and how they may enjoy a more independent life.
Thavry Thon is a young and independent writer and author of several children’s books. Thavry has been making an impact with schools and organizations across Cambodia especially with her latest autobiographical work titled “A Proper Woman”.
“A Proper Woman” was authored in English, and must now be translated into Khmer. Please support the translation, editing, design, production and free distribution events of our new Khmer translation for schools.
We will give away 2,000 Khmer translation books to an assortment of 20 organizations and groups where we know we will make the greatest impact. Each giveaway event will be accompanied by a presentation ceremony with Thavry as she speaks of her personal journey while offering hope and inspiration to the girls.
Supporters of our cause receive a free signed copy of “A Proper Woman”, with their choice of either English or Khmer translations, and everyone is welcomed to attend any of the presentation ceremonies.
Thavry co-owns and manages Toursanak, a eco-travel tourism company, leading personal and group cultural adventure tours for all ages. All overseas supporters of this work will be presented with an open invitation from Thavry to visit Cambodia with her as your person host.
Thavry’s schedule has openings for engagements to speak and meet with audiences of all ages about her journey and hear their own personal experiences.

The Khmer edition will take 4 to 5 months to produce, from writing to final publication. Your support is the bridge we need to open doors with Khmer readers and the many girls who continue to hope for something better.
