     A Ninja Story is a comic book series being developed by Myles Reichel, based out of St. John's, Newfoundland. It is the story of a man on his journey through life, and his perception of the world around him. Being trained as a Ninja gives this character a unique perspective during his travels around the world, living in the shadows, and his ability to accept the cultures of the world as his own make for some interesting stories...

   This project is a means to allow local St. John's artists, as well as international professionals, to collaborate on a book that will be seen by people from all around the world. It may serve as a portfolio piece for those professionals, or as a stepping stone for those that would like to break into the comics industry.

   With this first issue, we've brought together a number of local artists to contribute pages for this ongoing narrative, with the art styles changing from page to page. Everyone from established professionals to young up-and-comers have contributed their artwork, adding to the number of perspectives this story will be told from. It gives the book a very unique feel, as the ever-shifting look makes for an interesting read.

   Going forward, this book will be an ongoing series, and this first issue will be the first of many yet to come. We will be bringing on full time artists to provide full issues on a bi-monthly basis starting off, and upgrading to monthly when the time is right. This will provide continued work for local and international artists, allowing the lesser known artists of the world to show off their stuff.  This project will offer an opportunity for local comics artists to collaborate on an ongoing series with industry professionals, gaining needed experience to further their careers, and allow for a great story, rich in culture - and katanas, to be shared with the rest of the world.
