This wonderful young man is my nephew. He has been diagnosed with osteosarcoma , unfortunately he is not responding to chemo and will have to have his leg amputated! We of course would like to help spencer get a fully functional prosthetic and as he is an athlete one that will allow him to participate in sports of his choice! Any support you could give is extremely appreciated

Dear donors to a leg up for Spencer.. We wish to thankyou all for your generous support to Spencer's campaign. It saddens us at this time to let you know that we are unable to use these funds as originally intended. The prognosis for Spencer has been significantly shortened and at this time would like to use these funds for a family vacation to spend time with his loved ones. If anyone has concerns or comments they would like to address to us please feel free to send them through this site and I will answer all who reply. Thankyou , Rikki

My name is Robert and I recently lost my 11yr old Son to Osteosarcoma , he also was an amputee due to relapse after having limb salvage surgery, mid thigh. I'm in the military and the Army paid for an extremely high tech Prothesis that the wounded warriors are using once my Son met the height and weight requirements for it. Unfortunately he never was able to use it and I've been looking to donate it to a person being that it cost $56,000 dollars I don't want it to sit and collect dust. The custom socket for your sons thigh will Be the only thing needed to be replaced but all the working components are universal for a young adult my son was tall. It's computer chip Programable and works off hydrolics and is brand new technology!!!!!! Please reach out to me I would love to meet y'all and this brave young man, I'm outta San Antonio, TX here is my email robertsdavis1@gmail.com

My boys played roller hockey with Spencer (Matt & Adam Beauvais). As a family, we will certainly make a donation! What a brave, strong and inspirational young man. I also wanted to share that I volunteer for an organization, Athletes Unlimited. It's a non-profit that help purchase items for athletes to keep them in the sport the love (sport wheelchairs, prosthetics, etc.). They sponsor several paralympians and other local athletes. Check out their website, and reach out to Steve Olson at 248-680-9000 he can suggest ways that Athletes Unlimited may be able to help Spencer keep on play hockey!

Good luck, I will be praying for you. My husband just had his leg amputated 2.5 weeks ago. He is a much happier person now, although his amputation was for a different reason. I am sure you will bounce right back and be back on the ice in no time.
