Maddox was born May 29th 2009.He was dropped to the floor by accident after an emergency C-section. After an MRI and CT scan the results of which were clear, the nurses noticed an abnormal cry and low tone. Upon further genetic testing the doctor diagnosed him with Moebius Syndrome. This syndrome affects the cranial nerves leaving him without the ability to smile, frown, blink or move his eyes left or right, he also has limited use of his tounge which affects his speech and ability to eat normally. Even though the doctors labeled him as failure to thrive he has overcome many challenges so far. Our next big challenge is smile surgery. His biggest wish is to be able to share his smile with everyone around him. Facial reanimation surgery would give him the chance to smile, speak more clearly, and eat with ease. This life changing surgery comes with a price tag of over 100,000 dollars. Although we have raised over 21,000 dollars so far through fundraising, we need your help to get to our goal. A smile is something that most people take for granted every day, this  little boy would cherish this gift from you every time he smiled and laughed for the rest of his life. Thank you so much for helping our dream of a smile come true.

Hello everybody,we really appreciate all the support every one has shown. We were presented with a life changing opportunity last week and the surgery is being donated by an extremely generous doctor in Los Angeles, the donations we have received will go towards paying for the hotel, therapy, and the flights there and back. Thank you for all your loving support.

Im 47, born with facial paralysis, never smiled a day in my life. Instead of ppl reaching out to me n starting a fundraiser to help me smile, I had the privilege of being laughed at n made fun of by my peers. Almost $4,000 in donations already. That's awesome! When he gets his surgery, ask him to smile once for B, ok?

I was a middle school teacher and I know that the majority of children have good hearts and will treat your son nicely but I also know that there will be bullies out there, less than 1% of kids, who will not be so nice. If anything every happens remind your son that the bullies are only reacting to the bad in their own lives and not the good in his life.

Have you contacted Smile Train to see if this is something that they can help with? I know they do surgeries to correct cleft palates, hairlip, etc, in third world countries, I would certainly hope they would help a Vet's child here at home! I donate to them when I have the money just as I'm donating to you, in hopes of making a child's life better!
